The Sound of Music --- Do, Re, Mi
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EYAUazLI9k
This video was made in the Antwerp, Belgium Central (Train) Station on March 23, 2009, with no warning to the passengers passing through the station. At 8:00 am, a recording of Julie Andrews singing 'Do, Re, Mi' begins to play on the public address system. As the bemused passengers watch in amazement, some 200 dancers begin to appear from the crowd and station entrances. They created this amazing stunt with just two rehearsals!

Father & Son (With Video)
The father who, despite having a heart condition, says 'Yes'. They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through the race together.
One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman together.' To which, his father said 'Yes' too.
For those who don't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of
the Big Island.
Father and son went on to complete the race together. Here is the video:

what does your name mean?
Mine traces its roots to the Scottish form of RAGNVALDR, a name introduced to Scotland by Scandinavian settlers and invaders, and became popular outside Scotland during the 20th century. RAGNVALDR is an Old Norse name composed of the elements regin "advice, counsel" and valdr "ruler," thus making it a cognate of REYNOLD.

Write the Future
That is why Arup Foresight in association with ICSID has put together a studio to take a look at what life on earth would look like if we decided to follow a trajectory towards “Life @ 1 Planet.”
THE DESIGN 2050 CHALLENGE ( http://www.thedesign2050challenge.com/ )
Through the course of six consecutive weeks participants will be asked to imagine not what will, but rather, what can our world be in 2050 and what would y[our] “Life @ 1 Planet be in 2050?”
While we all know that the future is fiction, this is your chance to pull together your version of the events.
Step one: one Monday 27 July 2009 visit www.thedesign2050challenge.com if you decide to participate you can build a team of people (1-3 people) or you can choose to participate by yourself. Each week participants will be issued a new challenge and will need to submit their responses to the Design2050 Challenge website ( www.thedesign2050challenge.com ). The project will run approximately from July 27th until the first week of September.
Step two: is to follow the directions on the website and develop a character that can live and breathe on your behalf on the journey to Life @ 1 Planet” in 2050.
Everyday, only those who choose to participate in writing the story of the future; can decide what y[our] story will tell.

Meat the Truth!
"A vegan driving a 4x4 is creates less emissions than a meat eater on a
bicycle."
The quote come originally from Captain Paul Watson <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Watson> (founder and President of
the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society) from his article A very Inconvenient Truth
<http://www.permaworld.org/members/permaworld/weblog/a_very_inconvenient
_truth_-.html> and is:
The bottom line is that to be a conservationist and an environmentalist, you must practice and promote vegetarianism or better yet veganism. It is the lifestyle that leaves the shallowest ecological footprint, uses fewer resources and produces less greenhouse gas emissions, it's healthier and it means you're not a hypocrite. In fact a vegan driving a Hummer would be contributing less greenhouse gas carbon emissions that a meat eater riding a bicycle.
This news report:
Rearing cattle produces more greenhouse gases than driving cars,
UN report warns <http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=20772&Cr=global&Cr1=environment>
is pretty authoritative. It refers to the United Nation's 'Livestock's Long Shadow' report which is pretty damning for the planet should western diets continue their preoccupation with eating animals.

They do have information about my favorite places in Berkeley and San Francisco though... :-D
