Somersby Cider - The Somersby Store #tv #ad #commercial #tvcm

An homage to the world's most profitable store. This drink, by the way, has 4.5% alcohol, if I remember it correctly. It's being positioned as an alternative to beer, a.k.a. "poor man's wine." Sounds familiar, no? Disclaimer: I prefer beer over other alcoholic beverages.

50 Years of James Bond

From Rob Sheridan:
This great fan-made James Bond 50th anniversary montage is way, way better than the one they played at the Oscars.

Galaxy (chocolate) commercial featuring a CGI Audrey Hepburn

Some people found this creepy. Some. Me? It doesn't make me want to buy the chocolate. But maybe I'm just not part of the target market.

Nine Inch Nails goes modern?

...by using background music popularly used by someone named Carly Rae Japsen?

It's actually a mashup of NIN's "Head Like a Hole" and CRJ's "Call My Maybe" minus the Call Me Maybe vocals. It's mostly Trent Reznor, too.

Pretty good.

A Time-Lapse Map of Every Nuclear Explosion Since 1945 - by Isao Hashimoto

Boom!

By the way, I played this at 2x speed. You can set the play speed by clicking on the gear/options icon when you hover over the video.

Which one is the best Pinoy parody of Oppa Gangnam Style?

#1:

#2:

#3:

Incidentally, all 3 videos above were uploaded to YouTube within the first half of September 2012. Let's see how these guys do with a "Harlem Shake" video.

Asian performs Snoop Dogg's "Drop it like it's hot" beatbox while studying

Since I first heard this song at the end of The Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift, I was wondering what was its title and who is the artist (shoulda known it was Snoop Dogg). Meanwhile, I asked around and nobody knew what I was talking about. Here is my answer!

How big is the universe? How small/big are we compared to other things out there? How small is the smallest thing?

This is just one of the coolest thing out there. It's called "The Scale of the Universe." Check it out at http://htwins.net/scale2/

And it was made by a couple of under-15-year-olds. Cool, right?

It's Adobe Flash-based, by the way, so you might not be able to peruse it on certain devices. Here it is embedded, in case you don't to click a link and visit another site:

And yet another pistachios commercial featuring someone familiar...

And this was before he got beat last December. I hope he got million$ for doing this commercial. :D

YouTube does the Harlem Shake!

Just search "Do The Harlem Shake" on the YouTube search bar, wait a few seconds, and then this. :D

I'm not really a fan of this "Harlem Shake" phenomenon, though. Plus, people have said that what people are doing now on YouTube aren't anything like the original Harlem Shake (by P.Diddy), and that people from Harlem are not all so happy about it:

Favorite Super Bowl ads — Honorable Mentions

This one I should probably have put in my top 10, but it... has a little too much of drama for my liking.

And this one, too.

And this.

I can sort of relate to the latter two in some way. I'm no military guy, and I respect all those in the military who are protecting our freedom, but being far away from home and from family and all that... rings a bell.

And lastly, this one, I'm just showing because... I think this shouldn't be in anyone's favorites list, but it's worth talking about: i.e., no one should be making Gangnam-style ads!

Super Bowl 2013 movie ads!

I actually like these better than my #2 to #10 favorite ads, but it's not fair to include them in my top 10 list of favorite Super Bowl 2013 ads. These are big budget films shrunk down to a commercial, and so naturally, they're cooler than the average commercial.

But my number 1 would be this:

Because cars are more realistic than this:

And I'm not really into fantasy, but I like "classics."
