Man jumps from the edge of space and establishes world record

This is week-old news already. Just last October 14, Felix Baumgartner, under a ~$1B? sponsorship from Red Bull, got lifted up to just between earth and space at around 36km altitude, and jumped back to earth, reaching speeds faster than sound and in the process, breaking a world record established decades earlier. This video is a a minute and a half clip of highlights of the whole ride.

This next video is a ~4 minute video documentary of the test jump he did earlier this year in March, from a much lower altitude of course. The video box below actually contains a playlist containing more videos that is all about the jump and the events leading up to it.
