"Frame rate" is the number of pictures/frames per second (fps) that a video captures in, because that is essentially what a video is, a series of pictures. I wanted to find out what frame rate is best for video recording - and viewing and I found
this very insightful article on 100fps.com. Basically it depends on what you are shooting, as well as the lighting conditions. At very high fps, less light is absorbed so you need to be shooting with flash or under bright sunlight. I did find out that for movies, 24fps is best.
